Q3
Birthday Bash Fellowship at Tequila Joe's
By
Tom Pohang
When Pres. Dennis asked to write about TJ night,
I immediately agreed without thinking because I
was happy and preoccupied entertaining someone
whom Pres. Dennis and First Lady Tessa had
brought along to introduce to me. (Thanks guys by
the way for bringing Ms. R. I really appreciate
your effort in helping me find an
"Ann".)
After Pres. reminded me again of my utang to him,
it finally dawned on me. O-oh, what will I write,
I was enjoying myself too much to notice what
everybody else was doing. But when the President
asks me to do something how can I refuse. I said
to myself, "It is my duty to help my
President, so I must make an effort." (
Note: The deeper message of this last sentence is
not to be abused and also should apply to all
RCMA'ers!! Right? J So here goes
.
Tequila Joe's on El Pueblo was the venue for the
birthday celebration of the RCMA members whose
birthdays fell on the last quarter of the year of
1999.
What a great idea!! The turn out was good with
many members bringing their beautiful wives and
girlfriends. The food was delicious and of course
our host "The King" himself, the
handsome Mr. Eugene 'Uge' Go was gracious and all
smiles in welcoming everybody to his newly opened
restaurant. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves
and the evening was a success. Congrats to the
brainchild or brainchildren of this idea! I think
this was PP Miguel Puyat with assistance from
Service B Director 'Uge'. (Or is it the other way
around.)
For those who did not attend, hope you make it
next time because you missed a good one!! |
