It’s 4am and all I had to do is make
an insert for our annual review. I just
couldn’t let this opportunity pass
me by, so here is a “Special Issue”
of Pagkakaisa.
This is a very special night, indeed.
Firstly, it is RC Makati Ayala’s
Induction Night. Secondly, this is the
first
Induction Night for us baby Rotarians.
Plus, I have a feeling that this night
will be an induction that no one
has ever seen before.
Thanks to the creative mind of First Ann,
Tessa Valdes, we have a Hawaii 5’Oh
theme. Normally a formal
event, tonight’s should be just as
formal, only more comfortable (to some of
us anyway) and most of all,
FUN. Special thanks should also extend to
Rtn. Eugene, “The Hunk” Go, for
assisting Tessa in preparing
tonight’s event.
Only being part of RCMA for a short time,
I have learned that service is best
accomplished when you’re
having fun. RCMA is one of the best
Rotary Clubs, in terms of
accomplishments, mainly because we enjoy
what we do. Giving of one’s self is
not an easy task. Yet, as can be seen
from the past performances of this
club, it can be done, easily. The key is
that it has to be enjoyable. Tonight, is
a testament of that thought.
Rotary is comprised of the BEST in any
specific classification (or at least,
supposed to be). RC Makati-
Ayala, is truely that, a Rotary Club
comprised of the very BEST (yours truely,
excluded, ofcourse, though I
strive to be one of them). Being a Baby
Rotarian, I have a lot to learn about
Rotary life. I feel very confident
that I am in the right place to learn,
for only in a short time, I have learned
quite a lot already.
So, sit back and enjoy tonight’s
induction ceremonies... RCMA Style.
