Why you like that?
Thoughts
from your Club Secretary |
Dear Dennis,
You know me, I like getting straight to the
point.
It is with heartfelt remorse that I tender my
resignation as your Club Secretary and be on
leave at our Club effective immediately. I just
got back from Amanpulo and I'm practically broke.
I hope you understand. In truth,
Alvin
There is some truth to my letter to Dennis. It is
true that I just got back from Amanpulo and I'm
practically broke. Wouldn't you be practically
broke when a cup of coffee cost P150.00 and what
is worse is that it does not include re-fills.
Wouldn't you be practically broke when a bottle
of Evian cost P210.00 and what is worse is that
it's the small size. Wouldn't you be practically
broke when a can of Diet Coke cost P200.00. Thank
goodness that they serve it cold. I wouldn't be
surprise if they charge me for the ice.
Let's look at the brighter side
at least my
EDF, Leny and Becky had a blast. The weather was
uncooperative on Saturday but we were able to do
some water activities. At first, Eugene was
afraid to get wet
but I told him we are at a
beach
we are expected to get wet, dud ah!
Amanpulo is a sight to see. The white sand. The
courteous staff. The impeccable service. There
was not much to do at Amanpulo (especially if you
are practically broke) except to rest, relax and
make love (the primary reason). What's the
difference making love in Manila & Amanpulo.
Heh
heh
J A lot! Just imagine the
X-rated version of Brooke Shield's Blue Lagoon.
Luther advice to take a romantic sunset cruise
around the island. But at $150 a person, I
suggested we kayak around the island instead.
Half an hour later, Eugene & I were pulling
our kayak on the shore while the ladies walked
around the shore. We didn't realize that the tide
is coming in and when they come in
they
really come in.
Amanpulo is such a secluded place that we are
hoping to meet some celebrities with their
respective Daddy, but to avail. However, we got
to meet some of Eugene's undecided (they couldn't
decide if they are male or female) friends. They
were there for a calendar pictorial. I wasn't
excited especially finding out that these
undecided friends of Eugene would be in their
birthday suit. Yuck!
The weather clears up on Sunday
the day we
were suppose to leave for Manila. The key word
there is "suppose", just like sick
puppies
the ladies asked if they could stay
for another day. How could I refuse? That's how I
become practically broke.
I'm practically broke. I maybe poorer
financially, but I'm definitely richer in my
friendship with EDF. |
