MINUTES OF THE 2ND MEETING OF THE 4TH PAUL HARRIS CUP

MINUTES
President Elect PKC wanted to finalize the actual date and venue of the
4th Paul Harris Tournament. There were three options for the venue of the tournament
namely Manila Golf Club, Wack Wack Golf Club (West Course) and the Sta. Elena Golf and
Country Club. P.E. PKC decided that the tournament will be held at the Sta. Elena Golf
Club. The date of the tournament was talked about whether to hold on the 3rd or the 10th
of April. P. E. PKC together with the other members confirmed the 3rd of April will be the
better option since the 10th would be to close to Holy Week. The Awardings Night will be
held at the Manila Polo Club on the 4th of April. Since the venue and the dates were
confirmed, the members of the could start working on the different responsibilities for
the success of the 4th Paul Harris Cup Tournament.
1. P.E. PKC nominated P.P. Vince Villafuerte to be the Chairman of the media plan and
coverage. An approximate amount of P100,000 would be the budget to attain successful media
coverage for the 4th Paul Harris Cup. Pres. Dennis Valdes and Titos Almendral will help or
assist P.P. Vince Villafuerte. The Tournament will be published in various newspapers to
invite our fellow Rotarians around the country to the original and most exclusive Paul
Harris Cup Tournament.
2. P.E. PKC nominated both Dong Rosal and Jake Uichico to be Co-Chair in the solicitation
and sponsorship. It is very important the Dong and Jake are able to form the different
clusters with its members. Each member will have the minimum of P15,000 of sponsorship.
The board will determine in its next meeting what specific incentive system could be
implemented to achieve the highest results of sponsorship. The clusters and their members
will be published in the next issue of the pagkakaisa or should be out through the e
groups by the end of this week.
3. P.E. PKC nominated P.P. Arsenic Laurel to be the tournament coordinator head. Both
Raffy Ocampo and J.P. Reyes will assist in this,
4. P.E PKC nominated P.N. Mon Mayuga to be in charge of the invitations and reception
committee. Jun Ymson will assist in the preperations.
5. The board also would like to revise the old web page thruogh the help of Chuck
Montecillio.
This will allow Rotarians to register through our web page.
